Poison Drummer Charged With Sex Crime
On March 28th, 2008, rock ‘n’ roll drummer Rikki Rockett was arrested on rape charges in Los Angeles and booked into Los Angeles County Jail for the alleged rape of a Mississippi woman in September of 2007. Rockett was tagged at the Los Angeles International Airport and held pending a decision whether to extradite him to Mississippi for prosecution. Apparently, the attorneys for the prosecution had been reviewing the woman’s complaint for some time before the arrest was made.
Rockett stands charged with holding the defendant in a hotel room in the Silver Star Casino and physically and sexually assaulting her. He is best known for his work with the band Poison, which was one of the most popular glam rock bands of the ’80s.
